This is a first, my own blog. To be honest it's for the sake of search engine optimisation as much as anything. The idea being that the more written content my site has the higher placed it will be in internet searches. Any article is supposed to be 500-600 words long with a keyword density of 5-10%. So OVERSEAS should be mentioned a bit, as should TEACHING, not to mention SCHOOLS .

Apart from the obvious , which I will go into in subsequest blogs, I want people to come here to spend money, or at least click on some links to earn me commission. Not that I'm greedy but I just want to see if it actually works. Do overseas teachers spend enough time on the internet to make this site earn it's keep or are they all outside enjoying the kind of lifestyle that UK based teachers can only dream of, in between worrying about the credit crunch?

I do not intend apologising for anything I write here as I am just putting stuff down as it comes into my head. There may be typos, and opinions you don't share but tough luck. I think this blogging script allows anyone to make an entry as long as they are registered and logged in but we shall see.

The poll to the right of the homepage has excited a lot of attention and will hopefully provide some useful stats for the OSID member who requested it. I intend sticking up some more polls in the future to help this site run better but I haven't maade them up yet so who knows.

I intend waiting until there is more data gathered via the main database system here and then start looking at correlations. Even to have the ability for users to create their own correlations. I am thinking of something like 'is there a relationship between the number of questions answered by a school and the average number of years a teacher remains' .

I am in the process of putting together a load of useful links for users to buy things. I will only use UK based companies, unless it is a digital item, like international phone cards. I will make no secret of the fact that these are all linked to my affiliate account so I stand to earn from any purchases made (all small percentages). Like I say though it is mostly an exercise in credibility as I have never made anything from the internet and am beginning to think the whole thing is a hoax.
